Today is Orson's Birthday! To celebrate, here are some pictures I scanned from Chris Feder Welles' book, enjoy :)!:DASHING!!!!and some pictures I found around the net:This is so cute, and you know it!Enjoy!I also own Fuck Yeah, Citizen Kane at Tumblr, so if you're on Tumblr and you love the movie (And Orson, of course!), please join, thank you :)! So I go online to check my email and I see this link Orson Welles' Lost Tapes Found. As it turns out, narration done by Orson Welles made 25 years ago of a Christmas story will form the basis for a new 3D live-action/CG hybrid film to be made by the effects company who worked on the Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
I’m new here and so glad I’ve found this community. I think Orson Welles was genius, I admire nearly all of his work – as a director, actor or writer. The first movie I saw with him was Carol Reed’s Third Man and it was in the cinema on a big screen. Gosh, he was so impressive as Harry Lime. Especially the first scene in which Harry appears was essential for me, and I thought ‘So this is Orson Welles!’But also I’m kind of in love with him. I don’t even care he is dead or that he was obese since 1950s. It is because of Citizen Kane scene where Kane kisses a dancer. Another essential moment for me.Recently I’ve started listening to Mercury Theatre On The Air and I really like it. It makes me feel vintage what I like too, because I have a strong feeling that I live in a wrong era. The first half of the 20th century would be better for me.I’ve written a short story about an Orson’s fan who loves him so much that she can’t live her real life. Unfortunately it’s not in English. So I’m looking forward to reading your posts and browsing on photos.

Hello, fellow Wellesians! I was wondering...has anyone read the autobiography of Orson Welles' daughter, Chris Feder? It is getting rave reviews from Welles fans. So, can anyone share reviews, scans of photos in the book, ext.... I would like to know if it is worth reading, because I hate the majority of the major Welles books out there, particularly Callow's first volume and the David Thomson book. Thanks!
Oh I'm glad I've found this place! I'm a relatively new Welles fan (my current favourites being The Trial and F for Fake), and my, there's lot of picspammy goodness here these days. In fact I made one myself partly out of boredom, insomnia and by request. You might have seen them all before, but just in case, ( I'll just leave this fake cut here )

Hi everyone!I have been a huge Orson Welles fan for quite some time now, but I was wondering why it is so hard to find a variety of pictures of him on internet - all the pictures online are very repetitive in all search engines. Does anyone have rare pictures of Orson, practically in his young years? I know I sound a bit like a crazy fan girl...but that's what we're here for, right ;)? Thanks a lot and continue the great work!
I'm new to the community and there's something I'd like to ask anyone who's still hanging around here. Hopefully we can get a bit of discussion going.I wanted to ask if you think that Citizen Kane is worth the price paid for it. Meaning of course, is having Kane worth losing all the pictures Orson could have made if he hadn't had some of the most powerful people in Hollywood after his blood right from his film début? Or is it impossible to say?Would he have been able to hang on to his contract and make lucrative films even without the troubles with CK?
